What do I pay?
The studies are without tuition fee (for EU-citizens!) but you must buy some teaching materials. Normally this problem is PARTLY solved with copying and buying 2nd hand books.
Some schools have introduced a "registration fee" of € 100-200 approximately, which you must pay AFTER you have been accepted. This is in a way a deposit, although it will not be paid back to you. BUT you will get "value for money" if you start at the school, like copies, study trip, "golya-tabor" etc. So the money is not lost, unlesss you do NOT show up in DK.
BUT: DK is not a cheap country to live in.
In the beginning of your study, you will have to rely on support from your parents, but almost all students in DK have jobs (also foreign students), where they work after school and in weekends. Some students can even support themselves without help from their parents!
You can live as a student in DK for about DKK 5.500-6.000/month (all expenses), IF you are careful! (IN Copenhagen probably a little more expensice)
Most of the schools are helpful in find a job and most of the jobs are passed on to new students.
Typical student jobs are: Cleaning, delivering newspapers, bartender, babysitting etc
You can only start a job, when you have your residence permit, which you will have after 1-1,5 months stay in DK, but you are of couse ALLOWED to LOOK for a job before this time.
LATEST: 2011: It seems you must secure an amount of money of about ft. 0,8M-1M before going out. This money can keep you for about 6-7 months, after which time most students HAVE a job. BUT we cannot guarantee you a job, but we can help as much as possible.
